Helpful information to Phuket Beach Lodges
Phuket Hotels Although Phuket stands among Thailand’s most popular beach destinations, it has not fully succumbed to over-development. Although some beaches are marred by what Frommer’s described as
“unsightly concrete floor bunkers patronized by finances tour groups, ” others are
solely modestly dotted with hotels that include a very different sort of vacation on the beach front. Phuket remains the sort of place where travelers
discover a hotel to suit almost any taste or budget.
Considerations
Phuket is the title of both a community and an island, with the latter becoming about 30 miles long, 13 miles wide and roughly
identical size as Singapore. There at least eleven major beaches within the western and southern shorelines of
Phuket Island, so a visitor’s choice of beach hotel can possess a profound
impact on their experience on Phuket. Patong Beach is
extremely popular, with plenty of dining places and bars, and a regular general public bus connecting it to Phuket Town. However, it is also over-developed and also crowded. Nai Yang Beach, on the other palm, is in a remote i’m all over this the
edge of any national park.
Holiday Inn Resort
For those looking for any reliable mid-range brand title on Patong Beach, this outpost of the break Inn offers that, but with a perspective. Fodor’s described this resort as being
a “stylish, modern hotel exudes the sort of sophistication that most people would not imagine possible from a holiday Inn, ” while Frommer’s gave it a “Highly Recommended” rating. Families in particular might appreciate how the
hotel has two individual activity centers for little ones, and Patong Beach is
located just past the main children’s pool and across the shore road.
In On the Beach
Located on the to the north end of Karon Beach, this mid-range hotel provides the beach as its literal garden. The result is that almost all of the rooms have sea sights, as does the courtyard swimming pool. However, the location is something of any double-edged sword. Being on the north end of Karon Beach makes it a quieter, more peaceful spot, but at the same time it can be somewhat isolated from your restaurants, shops and bars inside the town of Karon.
Indigo Pearl Resort
Nai Yang Beach’s Indigo Treasure Resort was among Frommer’s top-ranked hotels in
Phuket. Although the Indigo Pearl is probably the oldest resorts in Phuket, the original resort was
destroyed by the 2004 tsunami. The resurrected resort was created by noted architect Bill
Bensley, and its sense regarding style earned it a nod being a “Best New Resort”
by Conde Nast in 2007. Rooms range from typical hotel-style doubles to villas along with suites, with the former costed for mid-range budgets.
